Honey Oatmeal Cookies


  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Dry raisins or any dry fruits (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • Preheat the oven to 180°C
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and honey
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla
  • In a separate bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined. If you are adding dry fruits, mix them at this stage
  • Drop tablespoons of dough onto a greased baking sheet
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden brown
